The EIT Culture & Creativity is designated as the 9th Knowledge and Innovation Community for the Cultural and Creative Sectors and Industries, initiated and funded in its startup phase by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT).
Till March 2024 the EIT Culture & Creativity must appoint its permanent Supervisory Board consisting of at least 7 members. To do so, firstly a Selection Committee for the Supervisory Board must be elected by the General Assembly.
While a call for the Supervisory Board in autumn 2023 has gathered applications for a future Supervisory Board, a Selection Committee needs to be created through an Extraordinary General Assembly, as the term of current Supervisory Board is coming to end.
The General Assembly of the EIT CCSI e.V. is tasked to elect four persons to complete a new Selection Committee of five persons. The Selection Committee consists of four members and one chairperson. The Chairperson of the Selection Committee is Niccolo Caderni as the Chair of the Supervisory Board. Thus this public and open call is launched for four members of the Selection Committee.
Its main task is to select between February 9th and February 16th from the applicants in 2023 a list of 6 candidates for the Supervisory Board, which the Selection Committee proposes to a General Assembly in March for approval.
The workload of the Selection Committee is described below in detail. The Selection Committee will be supported by a secretariat, provided by the EIT Culture & Creativity Team, and will be briefed upon its start by the Coordinator Fraunhofer.

These applicants are then candidates to the Selection Committee for the Supervisory Board and will present their candidacy in a 2 minute pitch to an Online Extraordinary General Assembly on 8 February.
The Online Extraordinary General Assembly decides in a secret voting with simple majority about up to 4 members of the Selection Committee for the Supervisory Board.
The Chairperson of the Selection Committee is Niccolo Caderni, the Chair of the Supervisory Board.
As the majority of the members of the Selection Committee must be independent external persons (see definition below), this call looks for at least two independent external persons and a maximum of two persons affiliated with members of the EIT Culture & Creativity.
