EIT Culture & Creativity launches €6 million in funding for fashion and the lived environment through the NEB Academy

The way we inhabit spaces and manufacture clothes in Europe are two of the defining questions of our time.

EIT Culture & Creativity has launched two open calls worth a combined €6 million through the NEB Academy for teams working at the frontier of circular fashion and the transformation of Europe’s lived environments.

The calls mark the organisation’s first major move as implementing partner of the NEB Academy – the New European Bauhaus’ learning and innovation infrastructure.

The first call, NEB Academy | Fashion Shift, makes up to €2.5 million available for multi-actor consortia, including independent fashion brands ready to develop and scale circular, regenerative and responsible business models across the European fashion value chain, with up to €500,000 per project.

The second, NEB Academy | Skills Infrastructure, allocates up to €3.5 million to trans-regional collaborations building lifelong learning programmes for the professionals, public bodies and educators shaping Europe’s lived environments, with up to €600,000 per project.

Together, the calls are an open invitation to innovators, educators and practitioners across Europe to take their work further, and to become part of EIT Culture & Creativity’s pan-European network and the wider New European Bauhaus community.

Information sessions will offer prospective applicants the opportunity to learn more about the calls and ask questions directly to the teams behind them. Register here for skills and on here for Fashion

Applications for both calls are open until 31 August 2026. Full details and application guidelines are available here
