The Call for Entries for the European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards 2027 is now officially open, inviting outstanding heritage initiatives from across Europe to apply.
Launched by the European Commission and Europa Nostra in 2002, the Awards are among Europe’s most prestigious recognitions in the field of cultural heritage. Every year, they celebrate exemplary achievements that contribute to the protection, conservation, research, education, communication, and promotion of Europe’s rich and diverse heritage.
For the Time Machine community, this represents a valuable opportunity to showcase innovative projects that harness digital technologies, data, research, and collaboration to advance cultural heritage preservation and accessibility.
Who Should Apply?
The Awards welcome applications from a broad range of heritage actors, including:
- Cultural heritage institutions and organisations
- Museums, archives, and libraries
- Research centres and universities
- Digital heritage initiatives
- Public authorities and local communities
- NGOs and civil society organisations
- Heritage professionals and practitioners
Projects involving digital innovation, cultural heritage data, digitisation, virtual experiences, historical research, community engagement, education, and sustainable heritage management are particularly encouraged to apply.
