European Heritage Hub launches call for Peer-Learning Visit to Lisbon

The European Heritage Hub has opened applications for its upcoming Peer-Learning Visit to Lisbon, Portugal, taking place 4–6 November 2026.

Organised by Hub partner Eurocities in collaboration with the City of Lisbon, the visit will explore “Memories of Lisbon”, one of the 10 initiatives selected through the European Heritage Hub’s Open Call for Local Good Practices.

The project brings together high school students and older residents to record and digitise personal life stories, using oral history and digital innovation to preserve local heritage, strengthen community identity, and foster intergenerational dialogue.

During the three-day programme, participants will take part in neighbourhood visits, meet local policymakers and stakeholders, and join interactive workshops exploring topics including:

  • Intergenerational collaboration
  • Oral history methodologies
  • Digital approaches to cultural heritage
  • Multi-level governance and partnership models

The Peer-Learning Visit is open to cultural heritage professionals and representatives of cities and regions from across Europe and beyond. Travel, accommodation, and meals will be covered by the European Heritage Hub.

Application deadline: 7 September 2026
