On 26 May 2026, an all-day international conference titled “Digital Cultural Heritage in the Era of AI and Extended Reality” will take place onsite in Limassol, Cyprus, under the auspices of the UNESCO Chair on Digital Cultural Heritage at the Cyprus University of Technology.
Organised during the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union and within the framework of the EuroMed2026 Digital Heritage Summit (25–30 May 2026), this event marks the final conference of the EUreka3D-XR project. The conference will showcase the project’s key outcomes and achievements through presentations by project partners and invited international experts.
The event will explore how 3D digitisation, Artificial Intelligence, and Extended Reality (XR) technologies enable innovative reuse of cultural heritage, transforming digital assets into immersive narratives and engaging experiences for diverse audiences. For the first time, the combined results of the EUreka3D and EUreka3D-XR projects will be presented, demonstrating how monuments and heritage sites can be brought to life through advanced digital storytelling.
