The Digital Heritage Summit 2026 will take place from 26 to 29 May 2026 in Limassol, Cyprus, under the auspices of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Organised by the UNESCO Chair on Digital Cultural Heritage at the Cyprus University of Technology in partnership with Heritage Malta, the summit is a special 2026 edition of the EuroMed Conference Series.
The event will bring together leading experts, institutions, policymakers, and industry representatives to explore the transformative role of digital technologies in cultural heritage. Key topics include AI and knowledge graphs, advanced digitisation and 3D data reuse, immersive technologies, digital cultural policy, and the protection of cultural heritage.
The programme features high-level keynote speeches and round tables, as well as the Hackit!4EU Hackathon, dedicated to the reuse of high-quality 3D cultural heritage data. The summit is organised in cooperation with major European initiatives, including Europeana, the European Commission (DG CONNECT), and the Time Machine Organisation.
