Europe’s cultural heritage is at your fingertips—if you know how to find it, use it, and share it meaningfully. On 17 June 2025, Europeana Academy offers an interactive online course to help you do exactly that:
“Introduction to collections, audiences and stories on Europeana.eu.”

Running from 10:00 to 13:00 CEST, this hands-on training gives participants the tools to explore and engage with the rich variety of collections available on Europeana.eu. Whether you’re looking to highlight your institution’s heritage, build engaging galleries, or communicate with a wider audience, this session offers essential knowledge and skills.

This course is ideal for:

  • Those new to Europeana.eu and interested in learning how to access and use its collections
  • Cultural heritage professionals aiming to promote digitised collections from their institution or project
  • Researchers, academics, or communications staff at universities
  • Educators looking to integrate cultural materials into learning content

During the course, participants will:

  • Learn how to locate and explore collections on Europeana.eu
  • Understand how collections from across Europe are aggregated
  • Discover Europeana’s target audiences and editorial formats
  • Develop ideas for editorial content
  • Create and share a gallery based on selected collections

As a bonus, participants from contributing organisations will also be introduced to their Usage Statistics Dashboard to better understand how their materials are being accessed on the platform.

This is a participatory training and will be held online via Zoom, using collaborative digital tools throughout the session.
