This online Q&A session is dedicated to the Outreach Synergy Call, a funding opportunity designed to support new and creative uses of 3D cultural heritage data and tools.
This event is the perfect occasion to learn more about the call’s objectives, clarify any questions about the application process, and explore the innovative tools developed by the project that participants can use to build their own 3D experiences.
Agenda
5 min – Welcome and presentation of the Outreach Synergy Call by Time Machine Organisation
5 min – Initial Q&A about the call and eligibility
3 x 10 min – Presentations of the 3DBigDataSpace tools by partner institutions
20 min – Open discussion and Q&A with participants, plus contact collection for follow-up support
Explore the 3DBigDataSpace Tool
Applicants to the Outreach Synergy Call are invited to design or adapt a 3D experience using their own models and/or those provided by 3DBigDataSpace. To support this, several tools are available each offering unique possibilities for 3D visualization, interaction, and storytelling.
Below is an overview of the tools that will be presented during the session:
Rooom XR Viewer
The Rooom XR Viewer enables users to view and interact with 3D models directly in their web browser—no installation needed. It also includes Augmented Reality (AR) functionality, allowing users to experience digital heritage objects in their real-world surroundings.
PCSS Viewer (DLibra 3DViewer)
The DLibra 3DViewer is a web-based application built with React and Three.js, offering powerful tools for exploring and analyzing 3D heritage models.
4D Viewer – University of Jena
The 4D City and 4D Browser applications developed by the University of Jena bring history to life through space and time. They allow users to explore how cities evolved, connect past and present through rephotography, and even create immersive guided experiences.
