The Global STEAM Conference 2026, organised by The Green Institute, will bring together scholars, educators, practitioners, policymakers, artists, and innovators from around the world to explore how STEAM education can contribute to planetary health, equity, and sustainable futures.
Under the theme “Regenerating Futures: STEAM Education for Planetary Health and Equity,” the hybrid event addresses the intersection of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM) with pressing global challenges, including sustainability, climate resilience, social justice, and inclusive innovation. Conference sessions will showcase interdisciplinary research, pedagogical advancements, and creative practice that bridge fields and drive transformative change.
Participants will have the opportunity to hear from a distinguished line-up of experts from academia, research institutions, and civil society, including Prof. Peter Newman (Curtin University), Prof. Jennie C. Stephens (National University of Ireland), Dr. Mona Sedwal (NIEPA), and other global thought leaders speaking on topics spanning sustainability, education, and technology.
The conference encourages researchers and practitioners to submit abstracts and papers on related themes, with accepted contributions published and shared with the global community. Registration and abstract submission details are available on the event website.
Whether you are involved in education, research, sustainability, technology, or creative practice, STEAM 2026 offers a platform to network, share insights, and contribute to shaping a regenerative, equitable future for all.
