Where Heritage Meets Innovation

HeriTech Forum 2026 in Tours

Date: 6-7 May 2026
Location: Tours, France; Registration online
Language: English

On 6–7 May 2026, the HeriTech Forum will take place in Tours, France, bringing together a vibrant European community at the intersection of cultural heritage, technology, and innovation.

More than a traditional conference, HeriTech is designed as a collaborative platform, an “agora” where public institutions, researchers, cultural organisations, startups, and technology providers come together to exchange ideas, build partnerships, and co-develop new solutions for the heritage sector. With hundreds of professionals expected, the forum offers a unique environment for networking, experimentation, and project development.

The 2026 edition places a strong emphasis on territorial storytelling through heritage innovation, exploring how digital technologies, such as immersive experiences, data-driven tools, and new digital platforms, can support the preservation, interpretation, and promotion of heritage in new and engaging ways.

Across two days, participants will engage in a dynamic programme of conferences, roundtables, workshops, and demonstrations, covering a wide range of topics from built and natural heritage to intangible and industrial heritage. The forum encourages cross-sector dialogue and highlights how innovation can strengthen the cultural, social, and economic value of heritage.

The ECHOES project will participate within this context and contribute actively to the forum through:

  • An information stand presenting the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage
  • Participation in roundtable discussions with international experts
  • A dedicated workshop on public-private partnerships, exploring new collaborative models
