This year’s annual conference of the “International Internet Preservation Consortium” (IIPC) will be hosted by Time Machine Partners Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision and the National Library of the Netherlands. The event, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the IIPC, will spread out over several days, including the consortium’s annual general assembly on 10 May (for members only).
On 3 May the team invites you to an online day, covering the following topics:
Block 1 with Sessions 1-4 (from 13:00-16:00 CEST)
- Reconstructions in National Domains: History, Collections & Corpora
- Barriers to Web Archiving in Latin America
- Researching Web Archives
- Sampling the Historical Web & Temporal Resilience of Web Pages
Block 2 with sessions 5-8 (from 18:00-21:00 CEST)
- Preserving Social Media & Video Games
- Collaborative Web Archiving
- Legal and Ethical Considerations
- Browser-based Crawling
11-12 May will then see the in-person “Web Archiving Conference 2023” hosted in the premises of the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision in Hilversum.
