The Photoconsortium community is coming together for its much-anticipated Annual Event, which will take place on 28–29 May 2025 in Florence, hosted by the Historical Archives of the European Union (HAEU).
This two-day gathering offers a unique opportunity to connect, reflect, and explore innovation at the intersection of photography, archival practices, and digital transformation.
📍 Day 1 (28 May) will feature the General Assembly of Members, including key updates on Photoconsortium’s activities and future outlook, as well as presentations from new and long-standing members of the network.
📍 Day 2 (29 May) opens to the public with the conference “Photography & Archives: Discovery, Technology and Innovation”, part of the EUreka3D-XR project’s capacity-building initiatives. Featuring prestigious speakers from across Europe and beyond, the event highlights cutting-edge developments in heritage, technology, and innovation in the archival space.
Hybrid participation is available – the conference will be streamed via Zoom for those unable to attend in person. Registration for the online event is open via the HAEU website:
The event will bring together leading professionals and scholars from institutions including the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz – Max Planck Institute, KU Leuven, TopFoto, Fondazione Alinari, Archivio Foto Locchi, and many more.
For members unable to attend the General Assembly in person, a proxy form is available to delegate voting rights to another member.
