The Time Machine Organisation (TMO) warmly invites its members and partners to the General Assembly 2025, taking place online on 9 December. This annual event is the key moment for our community to come together, review the year’s progress, and set the strategic direction for the future.

The General Assembly will provide an important opportunity to exchange perspectives, strengthen collaboration across the Time Machine network, and discuss key priorities for 2026 and beyond.

“This Assembly will offer a unique opportunity to update all Time Machine Organisation partners on the unfolding of our strategy. Our recent progress in spatiotemporal indexing of data collected through Local Time Machines is preparing not only the launch of a new, unified way to navigate cultural-heritage information seamlessly across space and time but also the training of dedicated artificial intelligence models known as spatiotemporal foundational models. These new forms of AI are expected to have a profound impact on research, education and applied domains, including the cultural and creative industries, urban digital twins, environmental monitoring, and many others. The distributed infrastructure established by the Time Machine Organisation is designed to activate a positive feedback loop in which these models help extract and structure spatiotemporal data at scale, ultimately enabling the training of even more powerful models with broader capabilities. All these developments remain fully aligned with the vision presented almost ten years ago during the Time Machine Flagship initiative. Step by step, we are moving steadily closer to building a Time Machine.” (Frédéric Kaplan, President TMO)
