Vienna-Berlin. Court Societies Digital
Our partner the Austrian Academy of Science is co-hosting the event Wien-Berlin. Hofgesellschaften DIGITAL2023 (WBH.Digital 23) presenting two academic research projects on the two Princely Courts of the residential cities of Vienna and Berlin.
Under the motto Court Societies Digital, the research portals Practices of the Monarchy on the Prussian court in the 19th century and The Viennese Court. A prosopographical portal to the Habsburg court from the middle of the 17th century to the end of the 18th century will be presented.
In hybrid lectures, the project teams from Vienna and Berlin will provide multifaceted insights into the development, the content-related and digital challenges as well as into the developed infrastructure and its tools. Interactive stations enable anyone interested to research the research portals directly on site independently or accompanied by a project participant.
