The World AI Assembly brings together perspectives from across the AI ecosystem to explore the opportunities, challenges and broader societal implications of artificial intelligence.
Taking place from 23 to 26 September 2026, the Assembly provides a platform for discussion and exchange around the future of AI, bringing together experts and stakeholders to consider how AI is shaping technology, society and different areas of public life.
Our partnership manager Juha Henrikkson will contribute to these discussions with a presentation on “The case for Public AI: making it happen with cultural heritage”, a paper published by Europeana.
His presentation will explore the idea of Public AI and its relevance for cultural heritage. Rather than considering AI solely as a question of technological adoption, it looks at broader issues of institutional positioning, democratic responsibility, public accountability and long-term cultural sovereignty.
