Scope

The objective of this Call is to support the creation and growth of sustainable CCSI businesses that share EIT Culture & Creativity’s vision of the future. Building on the growth and impact potential of CCSI enterprises we look for business support programmes such as incubation and acceleration that cater to the specificities of CCSI and support  scalable, business-savvy ventures both for profit and non-profit.

The call is intended for new incubation and / or accelerator programmes for CCSI businesses. The programmes shall deliver excellence, synergies and shared learnings ensuring high standard, fit for purpose for CCSI, and able to deliver the impact, results and scalability we are targeting in terms of growth of the sector and financial sustainability. Starting in 2024, EIT Culture & Creativity will support we will support two types of programmes. Strand 1 will focus on building new bespoke CCSI incubation and business creation programmes. Strand 2 will focus on building CCSI specific business creation support in RIS regions.

The programmes shall support founders and startups in effective ways building on the benefits of a European dimension while facilitating cross-fertilisation and thus taking the businesses to their next level.

Each programme must be at least 6 months in length with regular face-to-face or digital meetings giving a total of at least 20 full days of training interspersed by off-line activities. Each programme should support 5 to 10 founders /startups (a minimum of 5) as part of the delivery of the first pilot programme.

Programmes are expected to be delivered in English to foster international collaboration and participation. Applicants are encouraged to outline how the programmes will attract investors and financing opportunities for the startups and scaleups being supported through the programmes.

Remarks

For Strand 1, at least two independent business support organisations from two different EU or associated countries are required. For Strand 2 (focusing on RIS capacity building), at least one of the business support organisations must be from a RIS eligible region.
