Scope

EIT Culture & Creativity will support two types of Master’s programmes that are cross-disciplinary and transdisciplinary in nature, that enable students to connect across borders and across cultures, tackle urgent socio-cultural challenges, develop skills for the future, and ultimately succeed in the changing landscape of the CCSI.

Action Programme 1: Talent Scaler (Call 1)

  • The objective of this Call is to develop new EIT labelled Master’s programmes that advance and future proof the European CCSI. These programmes will empower the next generation of socially conscious graduates with the skills and experience to foster societal transformation and economic development through creative thinking and the arts. In Strand 1, existing Master’s programmes will be used as a springboard for new KIC Master’s by adding new modules that focus on strenghtening students’ skills in areas such as entrepreneurship and sustainability. For Strand 1, each consortium may apply for an EIT grant of up to €300.000 per year for a maximum of three years.

Action Programme 2: Skills Fitter (Call 2)

  • The objective of this Call is to support the development and delivery of new lifelong learning courses, renewing and refreshing the skills of professionals and practitioners active in CCSI fields. The activities shall provide structured access to crucial entrepreneurial and cross-cutting competencies such as business and financial management, use of emerging technologies for improving their competitiveness, and ethical, sustainable and business models. The Master’s programmes supported in Strand 2 will build a completely new programme linking sustainability, aesthetics and inclusiveness inspired by the New European Bauhaus values. For Strand 2, up to €500.000 per year for a maximum of four years will be available.

The Master’s programmes must fit within the EIT Label Quality Framework, and it is expected that the Master’s programmes originating from this Call will proceed to apply for the EIT Label. It is fundamental that the proposed programmes or curricula follow the “KIC added value” elements of the EIT Label (see Handbook), and are based on the integration of the three sides of the Knowledge Triangle: education, research, and business/innovation. They should have a strong focus on creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship and build on a set of specific quality criteria and overarching learning outcomes.

The Master’s programmes resulting must be two years (with extended stays in more than one country) and 120 ECTS in length and must comply with the pertinent national accreditation boards so that the awarded diplomas are legally recognized across Europe.

EIT Culture & Creativity is inviting applications for activities that have the potential to strengthen entrepreneurship, innovation capacity and accelerate the competitiveness of European Cultural and Creative Sectors and Industries (CCSI) and Europe’s Green, Digital and Social Transitions. All CCSI stakeholders and legal entities in the EU and Associated Members to the Horizon Europe Programme are eligible to apply.
