Graphics and Cultural Heritage Workshop 2026 Opens Submissions

Researchers, cultural heritage professionals, digital humanists and visual computing experts are invited to contribute to the 23rd Eurographics Workshop on Graphics and Cultural Heritage (GCH2026), taking place from 2–5 November 2026 in Barcelona, Spain.

Organised by the Eurographics Association in collaboration with the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), GCH2026 will bring together an international community working at the intersection of cultural heritage and digital technologies to exchange knowledge, present innovative research and discuss emerging challenges in the field.

This year’s edition includes a special track dedicated to visualisation-related topics connected to the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage (ECCCH), making it particularly relevant for projects and organisations contributing to Europe’s digital cultural heritage ecosystem.

A Forum for Innovation in Digital Heritage

For more than two decades, the Graphics and Cultural Heritage Workshop has served as a leading venue for research and innovation in areas such as:

  • 3D digitisation and documentation
  • Visual computing and computer graphics
  • Cultural heritage data integration
  • Semantic technologies
  • Cloud infrastructures
  • Data quality and interoperability
  • Digital preservation and sustainability
  • Advanced visualisation techniques

The workshop provides a unique opportunity to connect researchers, cultural institutions, infrastructure providers and technology developers working on the future of digital heritage.

Publication Opportunities

Accepted papers will be published in the Eurographics Digital Library as open-access contributions and will be indexed accordingly.

In addition, selected best papers will be invited to submit extended versions for publication in:

  • ACM Journal on Computing and Cultural Heritage (JOCCH)
  • Elsevier Digital Applications in Archaeology and Cultural Heritage (DAACH)

The workshop represents an excellent opportunity for members of the Time Machine Organisation network, as well as related European projects and initiatives, to showcase their work, exchange experiences and engage with the wider cultural heritage and research infrastructure community.

Researchers and organisations working with digital twins, 3D technologies, AI, data infrastructures, visualisation, semantics and digital preservation are particularly encouraged to participate.
