The Idiap Research Institute invites innovators, creatives, and researchers to take part in the 15th edition of the Idiap Create Challenge (ICC): a dynamic 9-day AI hackathon taking place from 20–28 August 2026 in Martigny, Switzerland.
Turning Ideas into Prototypes
The ICC is designed to transform innovative ideas into working prototypes, while fostering entrepreneurship and supporting the creation of future startups.
This year’s edition focuses on the cultural and creative industries, encouraging participants to explore new applications of AI across a wide range of sectors, including:
- Performing arts & live entertainment
- Music, radio & media
- Fashion, publishing & film
- Architecture & urban planning
- The art market and cultural heritage

The challenge offers prizes of up to 10,000 CHF for project development, as well as a 500 CHF People’s Choice Award.
