We are pleased to share that researchers from the INFINITY Project have been recognised with two Best Paper Awards at ESWC / SemDH 2026, highlighting outstanding contributions to semantic technologies and their application in the cultural heritage domain.
The awarded papers showcase innovative approaches that support the development of more structured, interoperable, and intelligent solutions for cultural heritage data.
Best SemDH Paper Award “Cultural Heritage Survey: An Ontology Design Pattern”
This work presents an ontology design pattern aimed at supporting the representation and integration of cultural heritage survey information, contributing to improved knowledge modelling and semantic interoperability in the field.
Best Resource Paper Award “Bench4KE: Benchmarking Automated Competency Question Generation”
This paper introduces a benchmarking resource for evaluating automated competency question generation, supporting the development and assessment of knowledge engineering approaches.
These achievements demonstrate the strong research contributions of University of Bologna and Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche within the INFINITY Project and highlight the importance of semantic technologies, knowledge representation, and AI-driven approaches for advancing cultural heritage innovation.
We invite our community and wider digital heritage network to explore and share these achievements.
