OS OA Digital Prosopography Digital Humanities Platform for data aggregation or retrieval

The Islamic History Open Data Platform (IHODP) is an Open Source & Open Access Data Platform for ’Medieval’ Arabic Humanities Research. It is being constructed from, and integrates, several interconnected open data projects at the Mamluk History and Culture research group at Ghent University, including the Mamluk Prosopography Project (MPP), the Bibliography of 15th Century Arabic Historiography (BAH) and Corpus: Texts from Late Medieval Egypt and Syria. Chronologically and geographically, IHODP focusses on thirteenth to early sixteenth-century Egypt and Syria (the Mamluk Sultanate of Cairo). As an integrated platform of Islamic digital humanities at Ghent, the IHODP aims mainly at research in corpus and text analysis, bibliography and prosopography.
