Digital museum and open archive of street art in Porto and other medium-sized cities in northern Portugal. Since 2017, StreetArtCEI has recorded and mapped more than 7200 images of street art works, distributed along 19 geographic routes, organized into +467 Points of Interest, and 27 archives in permanent update. The website also displays routes of street art by author and theme, published research outputs, donated collections, information about street music and media clipping. The StreetArtCEI project also includes the visualization of street art works in 3 D and Augmented Reality.

StreetArtCEI featured at the Capstone Conference of COST Action CA20105 “Slow Memory"

The research team of the StreetArtCEI project from the Centre for Intercultural Studies (CEI) of the Polytechnic University of Porto coordinated the visit and workshop “Slow Memories on the City Walls: A (re)discovery of Porto through street art” as part of the Capstone Conference of the COST Action CA20105 “Slow Memory – Transformative Practices for Times of Uneven and Accelerated Change”, which took place at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto from 2 to 5 July 2025. In the afternoon of 3 July, this (sold ou) visit and workshop offered an itinerary through the city of Porto, guiding participants across both legal and illegal street art works that bring color to the city’s walls. Each artwork reveals stories, memories, and emotions. More than a visual experience, the tour invites reflection on street art as a living narrative, deeply embedded in Porto’s identity. The visit and workshop were be led by CEI researchers Ana Margarida Silva, António Oliveira, Inês Pires, Luísa Silva, and Pedro Fernandes, and are part of the StreetArtCEI project (www.streetartcei.com). Particpants were also given the chance to explore street art through the Augmented Reality and 3D tools developed by StretArtCEI.
