Dr. Mike Kestemont is Assistant Professor of digital text analysis at the University of Antwerp. He specialises in computational text analysis, and in particular semantics and computational stylistics, and has published on authorship attribution in classic and medieval European literature. He coordinates the DH Flanders research community (15+ partners). He is the WG Leader in the COST Action Distant Reading and the DARIAH-EU group on text and data analytics, and is a member of the Computational Stylistics Group, which develops a widely-used OS software for digital text analysis (‘Stylometry with R’). He received the Frans van Cauwelaert prize from the Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Science and the Arts.
