Description

To overcome the darkness of our century, this project aims to rekindle the light of the Renaissance. Many societies and countries are facing the challenge of low levels of cultural education among their citizens, leading to a disconnection from art. As a critical issue of the 21st century, this project, inspired by the bright example of El Greco, seeks to lead efforts towards restoring our connection with culture. Through the digitization of artworks, information, and data related to the artistic life of Dominicos Theotocopoulos, the Inner Light project aims to influence and enhance knowledge of cultural heritage history and art. This will facilitate accessibility and the implementation of research efforts. By combining art and cutting-edge technologies, European citizens will be able to recognize the art of painting and become familiar with El Greco’s route.
