How can AI help preserve and promote cultural heritage? The 7th SUMAC Workshop (analySis, Understanding and proMotion of heritAge Contents), part of ACM Multimedia 2025, invites researchers and innovators to explore this powerful intersection.
From ancient artifacts to digital twins, SUMAC 2025 focuses on analyzing and unlocking the value of tangible and intangible heritage data—images, texts, 3D models, music, and more. Much of this data remains hidden in archives and museums. SUMAC aims to change that by promoting open-source tools, interoperable data, and cutting-edge research.

- Smart digitization & reconstruction
- Open heritage data & benchmarking
- Digital twins, restoration, education & tourism applications

Submission Guidelines:
Submissions are accepted in short (4+1 pages) and full (8+2 pages) formats. Accepted papers will be peer-reviewed and published in the ACM Digital Library. For more details, visit the OpenReview submission portal.
