How can European collaboration, digital infrastructures and innovative technologies unlock the potential of cultural heritage data? These questions are at the heart of Europeana Project Month 2026, an online event series organised by the Europeana Foundation under the theme The Data Space in Practice: Tools, Impact and Synergies.
Taking place throughout November, the series brings together 14 EU-funded projects working across different areas of the common European data space for cultural heritage. It offers cultural heritage professionals, educators, researchers and innovators the opportunity to meet project teams, discover recent developments, exchange knowledge and explore new collaborations.
Time Machine Organisation is pleased to see three projects in which it is involved featured in the programme: INFINITY, 3D-4CH and 3DBigDataSpace.
Three projects, two sessions
17 November: INFINITY: Bridging the Data Space and the ECCCH
INFINITY will be featured in a session exploring the connections between the common European data space for cultural heritage and the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage (ECCCH). The session brings together projects working to strengthen collaboration and synergies between these important European initiatives.
19 November: 3D-4CH and 3DBigDataSpace: 3D Digitisation
The 19 November session focuses on 3D digitisation, showcasing projects developing approaches and solutions for the creation, management and use of digital 3D cultural heritage assets.
3D-4CH supports the uptake of advanced 3D technologies in the cultural heritage sector through its Online Competence Centre, while 3DBigDataSpace works to increase the availability of high-quality 3D content in the common European data space and support sustainable, long-term storage of 3D models and related data.
Together, these projects contribute to making 3D cultural heritage more accessible, discoverable and reusable, while strengthening the digital capacities of the sector.
Exchange knowledge and explore new synergies
Europeana Project Month provides a platform for projects to share not only their results, but also practical experiences, tools and approaches that can benefit the wider cultural heritage community. By bringing project teams and stakeholders together, the series encourages knowledge exchange and helps identify opportunities for collaboration across the European digital heritage landscape.
The online sessions take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout November. Each event day includes a morning programme from 09:30 to 12:00 CET and an afternoon session from 14:00 to 16:00 CET. Participation is free, but registration is required.
We invite cultural heritage professionals, researchers, educators and digital innovation communities to join the sessions and discover how INFINITY, 3D-4CH and 3DBigDataSpace are contributing to the future of Europe’s digital cultural heritage.
