The web conference “Digitisation and Cultural Heritage in Thuringia and Europe” invites everyone interested and in particular Thuringian actors from science, culture, creative industries, tourism, museums and archives.

The conference will assess current European initiatives and funding programmes to find effective and sustainable connections to regional activities. The event offers the opportunity for regional actors to network with one another and furthermore become active and involved on European level by:

  • Making use of funding programmes
  • Initiating exchange of experiences and
  • Benefiting from various tools, methods and collective European expertise available

Time Machine – A European Research Initiative to Digitise Cultural Heritage

Our German Time Machine Ambassador and Project Scouting Lead Strategist Sander Münster will have the pleasure to moderate the event and present our Time Machine initiative within the framework of this conference.

Dr. Christian Ehler (Member of the European Parliament) and Prof. Benjamin-Immanuel Hoff (Minister for Culture, Federal and European Affairs in Thuringia and Head of the State Chancellary) will honour the conference with their opening and welcome words.

The event will be co-moderated by Annelie Zapfe, Thuringian Federal State Representative at the European Union.

Digitising Cultural Heritage – the European Perspective

In addition to presentations on current regional and national research initiatives and projects in Thuringia, expert speakers from various Directorates-General at the European Commission will provide an overview over upcoming funding programmes and European initiatives:
