Date: 9-10 November 2022
Venue: Hotel Ibis, Timișoara (RO)
Our Vice President Thomas Aigner has the pleasure to share our experience in invigorating European history with the Big Data of the Past on 9 November 2022 at the Conference on Heritage Innovation Technology.
The conference is organized by the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration as part of the activities carried out within the EUSDR Area 3 – Culture, Tourism and People to People Contacts.
The conference aims to discuss how innovation and digitisation may represent key instruments for the promotion of cultural heritage and how cultural heritage may be implemented accessibly in an open information space. In addition, the potential of technical innovation and digitisation to enhance the valorisation of less visible cultural heritage, including through sustainable tourism approaches, will be examined.
Following the conference, a policy working paper on the digitisation of cultural heritage will be developed to improve access to cultural resources. The policy working paper will be used for continuing the exchange and engagement with the conference participants to discuss issues of common interest in the field of culture and cultural heritage, to share and disseminate innovative approaches and best practice for the development of public policies.
The detailed programme will be published online on the conference website in due time.
