Our vice-president Thomas Aigner was invited by “DArtHist Austria” to present and discuss our Time Machine project in a virtual version of the association’s regular – but usually physical – networking meetings.
In the evening of 22 June 2020, the Institute for Art History of the University of Vienna was the venue for a lively presentation of the Time Machine initiative by Thomas Aigner, followed by an interview session led by Richard Kurdiovsky (Austrian Academy of Sciences, Vienna) and Martin Engel (Institute for Art History, Univ. of Vienna) from “DArtHist Austria”.
DArtHist Austria – the network for digital art history in Austria – is a non-commercial and independent association of art historians who work with digital research instruments. The network’s goal is to stimulate a regular exchange between art historians from museums, research institutions and universities about the challenges and opportunities of digitization.
