Beatrice Vaient

Beatrice Vaienti is our Local Time Machine Manager for the 3DBigDataSpace and 3D-4CH projects. She is based in Lausanne, where she completed her PhD in Digital Humanities at EPFL, focusing on cartography and the fascinating topic of map errors, and what they can reveal to us.

Before that, she earned a Master’s degree in Architecture and Building Engineering from the University of Bologna, where she specialized in 3D reconstruction of Cultural Heritage. Her passion lies in exploring creative ways to represent and engage with cultural heritage and urban history, blending computational approaches, creativity, and historical research whenever she can.
