Information Event by the National Contact Point Society on “Research and Innovation on cultural heritage and CCIs – 2022”

In January 2022, the calls in the 2022 work program of the Horizon Europe Cluster 2 “Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society” (CCSI) will be opened. These events are aimed at EU speakers and potential applicants primarily from the social sciences and humanities, but also from the cultural and creative industries, public administrations, civil society organisations and other institutions. Projects on the various topics in this cluster make an innovative and application-oriented contribution to important and future-oriented research and social topics in Europe.

Details

Within the programme line, there are annual calls for tenders on specified topics, which are published in the Funding & Tender portal. The research and innovation projects should use knowledge and expertise from the humanities, social and cultural sciences to work on solutions to societal challenges. The endeavor to achieve a real impact on society is a core characteristic of this cluster, so the focus is on application orientation.

Funding is given to projects that develop new models for integrative and sustainable growth and at the same time use the advantages of technological progress. In addition, the population’s trust in democratic governance is to be strengthened and innovation and education are to be promoted. Inequality, unemployment, marginalization, discrimination and radicalisation must be combated. The focus is also on promoting cultural diversity and European cultural heritage while at the same time strengthening citizens through social innovations. Migration and the integration of migrants are further priority issues.

Online Information Event

The National Contact Point Society for EU funding programmes in Germany organises virtual information events in December to provide information on the calls in the three thematic areas “Democracy and Governance”, “Culture, Heritage and Creativity” and “Social and Economic Change”.

The second event in this series on 9 December 2021 will deal with the call “Research and innovation on cultural heritage and CCIs — 2022”. The National Contact Point Society will provide information on the upcoming calls in the thematic area of culture, heritage and creativity.
