In collaboration with the French Ministry of Culture under the auspices of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union and Mobilier National, Time Machine Organisation member Europeana organises the conference ‘Building the common European data space for cultural heritage together: The role of Europeana, content aggregation and strategic frameworks‘.

It takes place in the context of the European Commission’s Recommendation 2021/1970 of 10 November 2021 on a common European data space for cultural heritage.

The audience includes the European Commission’s Expert Group on a common European data space for cultural heritage, delegates from the French Ministry of Culture and French cultural heritage institutions, professionals and practitioners, including Time Machine Organisation vice presidents Harry Verwayen (Europeana) and Julia Noordegraaf (University of Amsterdam).

The high-level goal of the conference is to gain a shared understanding of the creation of the common European data space for cultural heritage through a series of speeches, presentations, panel discussions and moderated Q&A sessions. The programme and the line-up of the speakers and other relevant information will be shared as we make progress. We encourage you to join the event and share the news with colleagues who you think may benefit from this discussion.

The conference will take place online via Zoom. You will receive an email containing the link for this event shortly before the beginning of the conference.
